Someone asked for help since they had trouble downloading from Chinese sites.

I can't read Chinese, so I don't know what they are and what they do. Users accept all risks.
However, I'd appreciate any feedback so I can revise this topic and make it more helpful for others.

1) [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] custom ROM guitar simplified ROM for PD10 without GPS based on 20120321 stock ROM made for PD10 Advance. Do NOT use for your PD10 with GPS. PD10 with GPS is called PD10 delux.
2) [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], Upgrade stock ROM for PD10 general, 20120428. Again, this is NOT FOR PD10 delux, the one with GPS.
3) [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], upgrade stock ROM for PD10 general, 20120502. NOT FOR PD10 delux, the one with GPS.
4) [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], upgrade stock ROM for PD10 flagship, 20120502. NOT FOR PD10 delux, the one with GPS.
5) [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], upgrade stock ROM for PD10 advance, 20120503. NOT for PD10 delux, the one with GPS.
6) [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], upgrade stock ROM for PD10 delux, 20120428. the one with GPS. If you received your PD10 after early May, chances are, you already has the latest ROM installed. the other one labelled as 20120503 is the releasing date, the content is the same as 20120428.
Install a ROM not meant for your device could have grave consequence. Make sure you check your device before flashing.
Dave, great find! Thanks,
bun
Hello Bun,
Much much much appreciated it.
I've been worrying about my post that people may try without enough information and would end up hurting rather than helping.
Your information hence make the post complete.
Dave,
I have a PD 10 deluxe and i installed the 20120428 update that i have dowloaded from the site in chinese .... The problem is that after the upgrade the touchscreen doesnt seem to work... i mean i can see evrething, it loads perfectly, mounts the sd card but i can't do anythink... my fingers on the screen won't work... i tried re-installing, but it's the same... any hints? any ideas.. please help me...
Sebb: Menu>Settings>Backup & reset>Factory data reset>Erase everything
Make backup of everything. Erase ExtSD.
I suspect you flashed the wrong ROM

For PD10 with GPS the OTA reports a new update available. A Chinese friend told me that it is supposed to fix some issues with the camera and with the screen. I'm downloading now and let you guys know if anything got improved/changed.
2:15 p.m. Update downloaded and installed reports 20120619. Tablet must be re-rooted. Display density is still at 240 DPI. Antutu benchmark drops from 2989 before rooting to 2279 with very slow graphics (23 FPS) on the third graphics test (knights with swords).
Rooting process extremely long but works. All applications still present and users and passwords are still on the tablet.
Using LCD Density Modder (free version) to set density to 160. Antutu reports a total score of 2833 when running at 160 DPI. Last graphics test shows close to 48 FPS.
Third run of Antutu at 140 DPI yields a total score of 2840 and 47 FPS for the knights slashing test.
Forth run at 180 DPI ends with a total score of 2812 and 46 FPS
Conclusion: the firmware update is not worth if you do not have issues with your tablet. It slows the tablet down with about 5% in Antutu Benchmark and the tablet feels less responsive.

I just checked. Yes, the OTA said there is update; and it fixed the bug on changing camera and background screen; To see the update, menu>system update>Detect version>Version update: check yes or no. My PD10 has the following problems when running in DPI=120:
1) random reboot after a deep sleep
2) some crash on some problems/website, not often though
3) difficult to dl and install from googleplay. But repeat several times will get it
I would be interest in the update if the above is addressed.
Thanks for the OTA notice, ion54.
