Rockchip RK3066 RK3188 Tools and Stuff

Rockchip RK066 RK3188 Tools and Stuff

99% of all problems encountered by users wishing to update or flash their tablets are related to problems with various drivers. There are 3 sets of drivers needed, depending on what you wish to do.

    1. Storage Drivers - When you connect your tablet to your PC and enable USB Storage on your device, Windows should automatically see your device and/or load the correct drivers. This connection allows you to transfer files betwen the PC and tablet manually. Tablet storage will not be visable on the tablet, until USB storage has been turned off again.

    2. Rockchip Drivers - These are the drivers needed to use the RKBatchTool to flash new firmware images to the tablet. First start the RKBatchTool.exe. For proper driver installation, press and hold either the volume- or the esc button, possibly the volume+ button, while connecting the USB cable. Use regular port, not OTG port. If the RKBatchTool does not connect with the tablet, also press and hold the power button for 5 seconds. Release buttons. Drivers should install, and the tool should switch to a green signal. When signal is green, select firmware image and click "restore" for a full, formatted, new installation. If you only get a pink signal, click on the "switch" button. If you cannot establish a connection, you should delete drivers on the PC and start over. Use USBDeview as an administrator, to delete drivers such as Rockchip, Mass Storage, Tablet, or ADB.

    3. ADB Drivers - These drivers allow you to connect to the tablet to run scripts or manage system files, without flashing the tablet. You can push or pull most system files for editing etc., once you establish a proper ADB connection. USB Debugging and unknown sources must be enabled on the tablet. If you are unable to get or maintain an ADB connection to the tablet, you should install Pda.NET to your PC. A popup warning (not important) from Pda.NET tells you that you have established ADB connection.

The tools provided will work with both RK3066 and RK3188 chipsets.
